Education:

Work:
Senior Hydrogeologic Engineer, contracted for Groundwater Investigations & Cleanup at LLNL’s Site 300 – Superfund and RCRA sites.
Senior Reservoir Engineer with Chevron in the US and Overseas (Angola, Kuwait, Australia, Scotland, Europe, and Bangladesh). Although I worked with some gas and oil assets, my most significant work involved aquifers, including the world’s largest CO2 Geo-Sequestration, and environmental project.
Worked for Bechtel and the USEPA while in school.
Most Recent Community Efforts:
- Member of Pleasanton’s Committee on Energy and the Environment, and Chair/Vice Chair (2017-2019).
- Established City Priority for updating the Climate Action Plan (CAP 2.0)
- Created Subcommittees (Water, Energy, and Environmental), under which I, and another technically qualified member, officially advise City Council Members on Water Supplies, and in particular, Potable Reuse.
- Unofficially, advise some Council Members on Water Quality, especially recent PFAS contamination issues.
- Development of Pleasanton Water Goals
- Development of the Review Criteria for Pleasanton’s decision to join the EBCE.
Although I will take significant credit for the work above, ultimately it was a team effort. Our team has a strong desire to have a positive impact.
- Founding member of the Tri-Valley Air Quality Alliance. Just formed, you will hear more about us in the coming year; we seek to understand air quality issues in the Tri-Valley Area, and formulate local solutions.
